The problem

Modern clients ship their Data files encrypted with AESCB02 (AES-256). Open them with the usual tools and you get nothing useful.

The fix

The Client Decryptor decrypts them in the browser, with nothing to install:

  1. Open the tool.
  2. Load your client's Warden DLL. The key is detected automatically by scanning for the LGCFGv2 signature inside the file, so the DLL's name does not matter.
  3. If you prefer, you can paste the key in hex by hand.
  4. Load the encrypted files and download the decrypted ones.

One important detail

Decrypted files usually work without re-encrypting them: the client takes them as they are. Before building a whole re-encryption pipeline, just try leaving them in plain form.

After decrypting

Once the files are readable you can use the rest of the editors: models, worlds, shops, drops and messages. They are all listed in the web editors thread under Tools.

This is meant for working on your own client and your own files.
